Right Brain & Left Brain Strategies

Left or Right:  Which Side are You On?

You've heard the terms, "right brain" and "left brain" thinking, but what does it all really mean, and why does it matter in a classroom?  How can you accommodate both types of thinking without having to teach with a split personality? How can you be in your "right mind" if you only use left-brain thinking?

This session will help you to:
  • Identify the predominant thinking styles of you and your students
  • Learn why these "modes of thinking" matter in the world of work
  • Take a concept and deliver it in ways that work for both right- and left-brain thinkers
  • Learn how to help students develop strategies to develop their less-dominant modes of thinking
  • Choose whether right- or left-brain thinking is best for handling a given task
